Much needed update...

Well it has been way to long since I have been on here. We are moved back to RV and in our own house with no internet. The house we live in is only 2 years old and the owners never put a phone line in, so we have to dig a trench and get all the wiring done and bla bla bla before we can get internet hooked up!! So maybe one of these days we will have the motivation to do that but until then we gotta come to my mom and dads house to use the computer.

A lot has gone on since we have been back. We started out with Landens 4th birthday party- a spongebob birthday party- no pictures they are on my computer and with no internet I can't upload them. When we get it up and going I will have lots of pictures to post. His party was fun, all he cared about was his spongebob cake, we had to bribe him into coming back inside to open presents! But once he realized he had them he was excited!

We got into our own house- well we are renting it, but its so nice, we are still in the same ward as my parents which i love, and nice neighbors and so much more room then we have ever been used to!! I love it!!!

We have had a lot of fun being back home and going on the mountain, riding 4 wheelers, and doing all the weird small town things we couldn't do in Cali. I do have to say though there are some days I would love to just pack up and go to the beach again! Now its a 14 hour drive to the beach!! lol

Well we found out a few weeks ago that we are expecting another baby this summer. I have to say Lane and I were a little surprised when we found out the news. I was scared to tell Lane at first, I wasn't sure how he would react because we weren't exactly trying to get pregnant, we had talked about it before but hadn't decided if we were ready for another one or not. So I guess God decided we were ready. We are excited. Lane is excited, hoping for another boy- so we'll see. He says Kenzie has to much drama and she is only one so no more girls! haha Cracks me up! We went to the doctor last week and everything looks great so far. I am 9 weeks today and expecting July 15th to have this baby. I have felt ok so far, have a few sick days where I wondered how I was going to get through them but somehow I make it through!

Other then that things have pretty much been the same, we are all doing good and just startin to get ready for Christmas and my "baby" Makenzie to turn 2 this month! How time flies!! I promise I will get some pictures posted one of these days.

Goodbye California!

I guess it is time to get on here and update everyone on our crazy lives the past few weeks. Lane and I moved back to RV. Long story short there were some issues with Lanes job and we weren't to sure how secure it was going to be in a few months and his old boss has been wanting him back here, so after a lot of talking and debating we felt is was best for now to come back home, and we really missed our families. Our kids were really home sick as well and influenced our decision greatly, constantly asking about Nana and Grandma and all there little cousins- Regan, Wessen and Gage. After our visit over the 4th when we were on our way to Cali Landen was so sad and kept telling us, "No mom we are not going back to California." It was hard for him being away from all the people that spoil him so much :) So we knew it would great for them to be around family again.

It's bittersweet moving back, California was an absolute blast, we got to do and see so much cool stuff and there is still so much more we wanted to do there. But it was hard being that far away from home. Us living there brought us so much... Lane learned so much which helps him out a lot at work, and we learned a lot about ourselves. We know that no matter where we are we always have each other and we truly our best friends. No we did not always agree on everything and we had our ups and downs but we learned how to work out our problems all on our own without anyone else. Our relationship is better now that it ever has been. We don't know that we will be in RV forever, we know we will stay closer to home especially while our family is still growing, but we can't wait to see what else life has to offer us. We truly believe everything happens for a reason and God has an amazing plan worked out for us, we feel so blessed so have come as far as we have, especially starting out as pregnant newly wed 17 year old kids. I am proud of us and our kids and love every second of our lives.

A lot has happened since we have been back, the funnest was Landens 4th birthday- he finally got his spongebob birthday caked he has been asking for since May! So when I get some more time I will get his birthday pictures up.

Dolphins

So we went to the beach the other day with some friends from work. We went to a beach Lane and I had never been to before up the coast right off the highway. It was so nice and quiet and not crowded at all! And the weather for once was beautiful! We saw a bunch of dolphins swimming along. I got a couple pictures, not the greatest, hard to take pictures with the sun shinning in my eyes!! But you can definately see them sticking out of the water. It was just so awesome. I love dolphins- it all goes back to when I went to Mexico with Lane and his family before we got married. We woke up one morning and there was a bunch of dolphins jumping out of the water. So we decided to get his aunts canoe and see how close we could get to them. The water doesn't get deep for a long ways, our paddles could still touch the bottom. But we got right out there by them and they swam along beside the canoe and jumped out right beside us. It was a bit nerve racking at first because that was my first time seeing the ocean but at the same time how many people can say they have done the same thing. It was just the coolest thing I have ever done and I will never forget that. But ever since then I have had this thing for dolphins!! So seeing a bunch in Cali made my day!

Last weekend Lane and I went to this Danish town called Solvang. The cutest little town but for some odd reason is totally overun by chinease people- go figure. But anyways, we went their when his parents came out to visit but we only walked half the town and there were so many stores and things to see so we decided to go back and check out the rest of the town. Lots of cool shops- candle shops, an awesome Christmas store which is my favorite store out of the whole town, clothing stores, koo-koo clock store and lots of others, and they have so many bakeries and goodie shops. Everytime someone walked by with food it would make you so hungry and everything looked so yummy!! Anyways on to my point...We found the coolest bench carved as dolphins. I thought it was so cool. Someday I will have a beach house and get this bench to put on my porch!! :)

Chinchilla

A friend of our here in Cali has a chinchilla and our kids absolutely love it. So Lane got one for our kids. They were so excited. I ask Lane what he was going to name it and he said he was going to let Landen name him. So Landen named him right away. We ask him "Landen, who is that?" And he said "Pop-tart mom thats my pop-tart." At first Lane didn't think that was what he was saying but I knew all to well that was indeed what he was calling him. It cracks me up!! He was not crazy about the name at first But Lane said he could name it, so that's what he gets!! lol And now it's fine, totally fits the little guy!!

4th of July!

So I am way behind on getting this posted. We went to Arizona for vacation over the 4th of July. It was so much fun. It was good to see our amazing families and good friends and our long lost baby Dozer- our dog! Who knew I would miss our dang dog so much! He's like my kid that I had to leave in Arizona!! The kids were so excited to see him to I think they forgot how big he was and were a little scared at first, but after warming up they all had a blast together! Landen played fetch with him a lot and I loved listening to the kids laughing and chasing after him!

We had several family cook outs and even got to camp for a couple days. The 4th was awesome. The parade was good. Landen got to ride in the semi with his Grandad Slade and he thought that was so cool and he still talks about Grandads truck and how fun it was! The fireworks were good. Kenzie wasn't crazy about them. The whole time she sat with her hands over her eyes, and if we tried to get her to look at them she would say no and bury her head in my shoulders! Maybe next year she will like them! We also got to go out for awhile that night and listen to my brothers band play- The Bends. If you were in RV for the 4th you herd them play in the parade! They are amazing and it was fun hearing them play! We love the 4th of July and we were so glad we were able to come home for it!! We love our country and are so grateful to live here! God Bless America!!

Originally we were only supposed to be in Az for a week, but Lanes Grandad Slade had a stroke while we were home and wasn't expected to last long and we debated wether to come home or not. We decided to stay, Lane felt he would regret coming home. And thankfully we stayed his Grandad passed and we were able to be there for the funeral. It was nice to be able to be home for awhile longer. It made us realize how much we have missed being there and being around our families! Coming back to California was so hard. And getting back into our routine here has been even harder knowing it will be a few months before we get to go home again! Hopefully soon we will be able to move closer to home!!

Fathers Day!

So yesterday was Fathers Day and I have to say I have the best dad in the whole world along with an awesome mom. I never realized how much I would miss being home. Fathers Day made me look back on my life and think about all the good times I had in Round Valley with my parents. From traveling to branding cows to doing cook outs and learning everything I know about cooking from them, they are the best cooks ever and there are times I would kill to have one of their home cooked meals again! So I just want my dad to know that he is the best dad anyone could ask for and my mom is the best mom to- I never did a mothers day blog so I just want them both to know that they are the best and I love you both very much and we can't wait to get back home to AZ this weekend!

I also have to say that my kids have an amazing dad as well. Lane is an awesome dad and our kids just adore him! Our lives are not always perfect, but we always make it through. Lane works really hard for me and for our kids and I appreciate him more than anything in the world. He is my best friend and I would be lost without him! So I just want to say thank you Lane for everything that you do, you are an amazing dad and husband and we love and appreciate you!! Happy Fathers Day!!

Mall Cop

So I'm sure everyone has at least seen advertisements for the movie Mall Cop, which is hilarious by the way. So we watched it about a month ago and just thought it was a funny movie. So last weekend we decided to go to the mall in Ventura because we heard it was way bigger then our mall. So we get there and we are in Old Navy buying swim suits for our kids and I look out the store window and a freaken mall cop drives by on a power scooter!! I thought I had to be seeing things. So when we got out of the store we started lookin for this guy I saw. Low and behold there he was strolling along in the mall on his scooter. We about died. I had no idea that there really were mall cops like in the movie. I mean I knew there were probly security gaurds, but I didn't know they drove around and scooter and wore helmets and the whole works! We got a picture of him and I just had to share it with everyone because it was just to funny! I wish the picture was better, where the cop was standing there was a huge picture of the "Mall Cop" movie hanging above him, but it's not in the picture!

Beautiful Day at the Beach!

So this weekend it was finally sunny and warm enough to hit the beach! We went with some of Lanes friends from work and just had a fun relaxing day. The tide was out and it was perfect for skim boarding and looking for sand dollars and working on our tans! Well me anyways! haha It's definatly a work out kepping up with the kids though. They have a blast running around and playing in the water. I love listening to them play. All you hear is their amazing little laughs and it just melts my heart to hear them having so much fun! These are the kinds of days I want to remeber forever!

Memorial Day

We went to Pismo Beach for Memorial Day. They did a Memorial Day service on the pier and they had a huge flag up that I thought made an awesome picture. When we were walking onto the pier the officers were practicing for the ceremony and we didn't realize until we were walking right in front of them, so we ran really fast to get out of their way. One of the officers yelled "Double time now, hop to it" at us implying that we were right in there way. But he was laughing just jokin around with us and we all started laughing, but felt so retarded that we weren't paying attention and got in the way! It was neat to watch them and we got a couple good pictures.

Zoo Day!

Lanes family came to visit for Memorial Day Weekend. We had a lot of fun going to the beaches and different tourists attractions and the zoo. My kids loved the zoo. Makenzie was so funny, every animal she saw she would call a puppy, wether it was a bird, gorilla or elephaunt, she didn't care they were all puppies to her. Landen had a lot of fun to but he hated the bug exhibit. He would get mad if we tried to show him the bugs and kept telling me "No mom, I need to go home!" It took him awhile to enjoy the rest of the zoo but he finally did. He amazed me how he knew what most of the animals were. His favorite animal was the gorillas! Here are a few pictures from our fun day!

What a crazy day!!

Nona you will love this story!! So I was walking down the hall to go into Landen and Kenzie's room to put a movie on for them. When I turned the corner I saw the biggest spider I have ever seen in the middle of the hallway! I screamed and took off running in the other room. I caught myself and relized what I had done and knew the kids would come running out of there room to see what i was screaming for so I ran back to stop them so they wouldn't get by the big spider. When I went back I realized the big spider was not a spider, it was a crab. We had bought a crab to put in our fishtank when we moved here and that damn crab somehow found a way to crawl out of the fish tank and was making his get away!! So of course me being the big chicken I am call Lane to tell him to come home and get it!! And of course he wasn't gonna be home for another hour or so. He just told me to smash it with something. I put a clear tupperware container over it so he couldn't go anywhere and after talking to Lane and seeing that he wasn't going to be any help I called my dad to tell him how bad I wished he was there to get this crab for me! Of course he laughed like crazy and then told me to get my broom and dustpan and scoop him up in that. So I decided I would be brave and do that and when Lane got home he would be so suprised that I got rid of it! So I take the tupper ware container off of this crab and go to scoop him up and this crab took of crawling so fast. I screamed and threw the dust pan and it kept running towards me!! I finally remembered I had had him covered with the container so I threw it back over him! The kids were both laughing at me not realizing what I was actually doing! Landen kept going up to the container and saying "Hi bug what you doing." But I don't think he really realized what it was. After a couple times of trying I gave up and waited for Lane to get home! I think I gave the crab a heart attack because when Lane came home he scooped it right up with no problems! He turned around to show Landen what it was and Landen screamed and did not want to be anywhere near that crab! So I decided to flush him down the toilet (Nona I know I am so mean because I didn't shoot it first, no guns in California though!) and needless to say I will not be buying anymore crabs to put in my fish tank!

Lane and Michelle

Well I am pretty new to this blogg spot stuff. Nona told me about it, so I started to check it out and have found friends I haven't seen or talked to in quite awhile and I thought it would be awesome to get in contact with them again. Lane and I have been married for 4 years now. We are currently living in California. He is working on an airbase here and it looks like we will be here for about 4 years. California has been a big change for us compared to our little home town, but it has been such a great experience and it has brought us closer together, not to mention we live by the beach so I can't complain about being here to much! I am a stay at home mom and I love it. We have 2 amazing kids now, Landen who is 3- he's my little love bug. He is such a fun and loving boy. He absolutley loves car, trucks, 4 wheelers, dirt bikes and anything else with tires or wheels. He is the best son and such a great big brother, he's very protective of his little sister, future boyfriends watch out cuz Landen may kick your butt! I guess that brings us to Makenzie. She turned 1 in December and she is my tiny sweetheart! She is such a happy little girl, always has a smile on her face but has quite the little prissy attitude at times! But she keeps me laughing. She is such a tom boy and thinks Landen is the coolest person ever. Whatever he's doing she is right there behind him joining in the fun. She has even learned how to make car sounds when they are playing with there toys! Our life is good here. It's hard sometimes we really miss our families and friends back home, but Lane and I have really grown up and learned that we can do whatever we want in life and we look forward to the rest of our lives together!
